| Jul 20 - 27 | Mendocino Sufi Camp Mendocino Sufi Camp, a week-long community camp honoring awakening in all spiritual traditions, is held every July at Mendocino Woodlands State Park in Northern California. We hold a universalist world view, based on the teachings of Hazrat Inayat Khan and Murshid Samuel Lewis, which sees and honors the truth in all religions and spiritual traditions, known and unknown. The Sufi’s house of worship is the human heart, wherein dwells the Divine Beloved; Sufism is the message of love, harmony, and beauty. There is no compulsion, no dogma on the Sufi path. Rather, the Sufi’s aim is to remember the Divine in all aspects of life and serve humanity with love and compassion. A typical day at Sufi camp includes opportunities for esoteric studies, meditation, yoga, Dances of Universal Peace, zikr, music, sumptuous meals, and general celebrations of life and community.
