| Sep 19 | 19th annual Old Time Music Fete at old Cahokia Courthouse A wide variety of traditional, acoustic music styles will be on tap at Cahokia Courthouse State Historic Site on Sunday, September 19th from Noon to 5 pm for the 19th annual Old Time Music Fete, featuring country, folk, bluegrass ans more acoustic favorites performed by musicians from all over the greater St. Louis area. Scheduled musical groups will perform on the porch of the 1740 Courthouse, while jam sessions spring up in the shade of every tree. Food and drink are available for purchase. The event is free and open to the public. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. The event will be held rain or shine. Located adjacent to Rt 3 and Hwy 157 in Cahokia, IL. | Sep 25 | Grand Center’s Dancing In The Street Festival Grand Center Inc.’s annual Dancing in the Street festival returns Sept. 25 for its fourth year as the opening celebration of the fall arts season in the Grand Center Arts & Entertainment District. More than 75 performances and 700 dancers perform a variety of dance styles, including tap, ballet, clog, modern, hip hop, belly, jazz, salsa, flamenco, Broadway, contemporary, folk, Bollywood and many more on four outdoor stages.
